Healthcare Access Control
Restricting access through Healthcare units is necessary to keep staff and patients safe at all times, and to keep assets safe from misuse or theft.
MENTAL HEALTH SECURITY
Mental health wards can be very expensive to run at the best of times with the continuous maintenance due to damage being caused. This includes keys being snapped in patients locks.
By installing a access control system with wrist band access, this will allow patients to enter their own personal bedroom by presenting the wrist band to the access control reader outside their bedroom and releasing the locking mechanism.
This creates a safe environment for patients and staff, allowing unrestricted access to staff and restricted access to only their bedroom for patients. It also increase the effectiveness of staff by not continuously locking and unlocking bedroom doors.
Colour coding the wrist band for staff and patients is an ideal way of knowing that the patient has the correct wristband.

Managing your building
Access control allows people to move freely about a building, whilst also allowing specific areas to be managed with higher security. For example, operating theatres or the pharmacy. Additional management benefits include.
- Remote Access – manage your system using an app or browser from any mobile and smart device
- Timesheet – use readers to capture when employees clock in or out to help with payroll (Net2 only)
- Video Door Entry – allows you to communicate with your visitor before granting them access to your building
- Site Graphics – import 2D images of your facility to give a clear visual of door open or alarm status for security personnel
- Wireless Door Handles – a great way to quickly secure single or multiple doors such as storage cupboards or pharmacies
- Wristband Door Entry – a great easy way to provide safe, cost effective way of distributing entry to patient doors
